Snowy Roof Productions, LLC specializes in the production of low-cost, high-quality videos for artists and organizations — especially short video clips for websites. Our Claim to Fame
The company is best known as the producer of “Marvelous Margaretville!” the first feature-length documentary ever made about contemporary life in the northern Catskill Mountains of New York State.

“Marvelous Margaretville!”
On January 17, 2004, the movie premiered to a standing-room-only crowd at the Roxbury Arts Group in Roxbury, New York. Audience reaction was overwhelmingly upbeat and palpable during the screening. The filmmaker received a grand ovation afterward, and positive “buzz” was heard throughout the area for weeks thereafter. Jenny Liddle, Director of the Roxbury Arts Group, referred to the screening as one of the most successful and popular events ever held at their facility since the founding of their organization twenty-five years before. Retired Pace University English professor George Warner observed that the film had “changed the sociology of the area,” in that, for the first time, it brought hundreds of residents together and gave them a collective look in the mirror, crystallizing for them the problems they shared and the benefits they reaped as members of a unique community in a magnificent region of the country. “Catskill Mountain Locals”
In 2006, Snowy Roof Productions completed a second documentary entitled “Catskill Mountain Locals,” in which long-time residents of the Catskills give their impressions of life, talk about their work and recreation, tell tales of days gone by, speculate about the future, and recollect significant people, places, and events in their lives. It premiered at The Roxbury Arts Group on April 29, 2006.
